Economy to Benefit from ‘Chief Minister – Majhi Ladki Bahine’ Scheme, Says Chief Minister Eknath Shinde
Mumbai : Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced today that the newly launched ‘Mukhyamantri-Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ and ‘Annapurna Yojana’ are set to bolster the state’s economy. Speaking at India Today Group’s ‘Mumbai Tak Sitka’ program, Shinde emphasized that these schemes aim to support the families of ordinary women, integrating both development and welfare.
During the interview with Mumbai Tak anchors Harshada Parab, Anuja Dhakras, and Madhavi Desai, Shinde highlighted the government’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens. He mentioned that the ‘Chief Minister – Majhi Ladki Bahine’ scheme, along with the Annapurna Yojana and other initiatives like the Vyoshree Yojana and Tirth Kshetra Yojana, are part of a broader effort to enhance state development while addressing welfare needs.
The Chief Minister detailed that preparations for the ‘Chief Minister – Majhi Ladki Bahine’ scheme had been underway for the past eight to nine months, designed to support housewives in their daily routines. This scheme is reportedly achieving significant success. Additionally, the Annapurna Yojana will provide three gas cylinders per year. The state is also focusing on women’s empowerment through schemes like ‘Lake Ladki Lakhpati Yojana’ and the waiver of education fees for girls pursuing higher education.
Shinde also praised Maharashtra’s progress, noting extensive infrastructure projects and industrial growth that are creating job opportunities. He called on the media, as the fourth pillar of democracy, to highlight positive government initiatives and provide objective information to the public. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of journalism that addresses and resolves public issues.
