Economic Revolution Expected with ₹52,000 Crore Investment – Industries Minister Uday Samant
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar : Industrial groups such as Athar Energy, JSW, Toyota Kirloskar, and Lubrizol have chosen the industrial estate in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for their investments. State Industries Minister Uday Samant stated that this significant investment is set to trigger an economic revolution and foster sustainable development in Marathwada.
A felicitation ceremony for the entrepreneurs who have invested was organized at the Chikalthana Masia Ratnaprabha Balasaheb Pawar Auditorium. The event was attended by State Housing Minister Atul Save, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Bhagwat Karad, MP Sandipan Bhumre, MLA Sanjay Shirsath, Principal Secretary of the Industries Department Harshdeep Kamble, MIDC Managing Director Malikner, Joint Executive Officer Anil Bhandari, Municipal Commissioner G. Srikanth, Police Commissioner Kiran Pawar, Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar Rathod, Masia Chairman Chetan Raut, Subroto Kumar Mitra (Senior Vice President, Aether Energy), Swapnesh Maru (Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar), Bibhu Nanda (Project Manager, JSW), and Nitin Mengi (Representative, Lubrizol), among other representatives.
Minister Samant highlighted that the investments from industrial giants like Aether Energy, Lubrizol, JSW, and Toyota Kirloskar amount to ₹52,000 crore, promising an economic transformation and overall development for Marathwada. This investment is expected to boost small-scale industries, establish training institutes, and promote complementary industry development by providing employment opportunities for the youth.
He emphasized that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure high-quality infrastructure for industries and assured that efforts are ongoing to prevent any issues for farmers during industry setup. The state is poised to attract investments totaling ₹1 lakh crore in the coming years due to these favorable policies.
At the ceremony, Minister Uday Samant and the entrepreneurs were honored by Masia, an industry association. A certificate of honor was presented to them. When Minister Atul Save requested the allocation of MIDC land for a cricket stadium, Minister Samant promised that a decision would be made soon.
