Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai Attends Divine Shri Hanumant Katha Ceremony

Raipur, December 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, along with his spouse, attended the five-day Divine Shri Hanumant Katha ceremony being held at Jayanti Stadium Ground, Bhilai. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Sai said it was a matter of great fortune for everyone, noting that Chhattisgarh has always received the blessings of Pandit Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Maharaj. He said that Lord Shri Ram spent most of his period of exile in Chhattisgarh and that this land is also associated with Mata Shabari, who had lovingly offered tasted berries to Lord Ram during that time.

Referring to the Shri Ram Lalla Ayodhya Dham Yojana, the Chief Minister said that so far more than 38,000 devotees have been facilitated to visit Ayodhya Dham for darshan of Lord Shri Ram, and that devotees continue to be taken regularly. Mentioning the Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana, he said the scheme, which had remained closed for the past five years, has now been restarted. So far, about 5,000 senior citizens have benefited under the scheme. Under this initiative, elderly devotees of the state are being provided opportunities to visit 19 major pilgrimage centres across the country.

The Chief Minister said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana has been launched to empower women, under which ₹1,000 per month is being provided. Around 70 lakh women are benefiting from this scheme. He shared that women from village Dansara in Sarangarh district have collectively contributed the amount received under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to construct a temple of Lord Shri Ram.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the vision of an Akhand Bharat envisioned by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri would surely be realised one day. He said this is a time of awakening across the country and the world, and the spirit with which people have participated reflects that the time has come to make India a world leader.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, along with his spouse, participated in the aarti and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state. The Divine Shri Hanumant Katha is being organised by the Seva Samarpan Samiti from December 25 to December 29, 2025.

Present on the occasion were Vice Chairman of the Backward Classes Development Authority and MLA Shri Lalit Chandrakar, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Khadi Board Shri Rakesh Pandey, former MP Ms. Saroj Pandey, former MLA Shri Labhchand Bafna, Shri Arun Vora, office-bearers of the organising committee, other public representatives, eminent citizens of the city, and a large number of devotees.
