Minister Laxmi Rajwade Performs Bhoomipujan for Two Road Construction Projects

Raipur, December 2025 : Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade today gave fresh momentum to two road development projects in Surajpur district by performing the bhoomipujan (foundation-laying ceremony).

Under the Bhatgaon Assembly constituency, the minister inaugurated the construction work of a 1.4-kilometre-long road from Kasalgiri to Shivsagarpur in village Shivsagarpur. The state government has granted administrative approval of Rs 119 lakh for the construction of this road.

Subsequently, Minister Rajwade performed rituals to mark the commencement of the widening and strengthening work of a 5.80-kilometre-long road in village Maheshpur. This road connects Silphili National Highway-43 to Latori via Maheshpur. For this important project, the government has provided administrative approval of Rs 1,269 lakh.

On the occasion, Minister Laxmi Rajwade said that a strong road network would facilitate smooth transportation in rural areas and promote education, healthcare services, and commercial activities. She said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the state government is giving top priority to the development of basic infrastructure in rural and remote regions.

Public representatives, officials of the district and local administration, panchayat representatives, and a large number of villagers were present at the programme.
