Chief Minister Sai Attends Pensioners’ Conference
Raipur, December 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that pensioners are the heritage of society, who strengthened the foundations of governance and administration during their service tenure and continue to contribute to the development of the state even today. He said the experience of pensioners is extremely important for the smooth functioning of the administrative system, and it is because of their dutiful service that the administrative machinery continues to function efficiently. The Chief Minister was addressing the Surguja Divisional Pensioners’ Conference held at Pamshala today.
Chief Minister Sai said that the government servants who worked under difficult circumstances at the time of the formation of Chhattisgarh and made significant contributions to the state’s development may have retired today, but their experience and guidance will always remain valuable for new officers. During the conference, the Chief Minister honoured senior pensioners above 80 years of age by presenting them with shawls and coconuts.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai also released the book Karmadar Evam Anya Kathni Tatha Mahua Ke Phool, written by former Surguja Commissioner and retired IAS officer Shri Maheshwar Sai Painkra. He assured the pensioners’ association that their demands would be considered sympathetically. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai also offered prayers and performed worship at the Radha-Krishna Temple, praying for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state.
On the occasion, State President Dr. D.P. Manhar said that Chief Minister Sai is the first Chief Minister to attend a pensioners’ association conference, and expressed gratitude to him for this gesture. The programme was attended by Chief Minister Sai’s wife Mrs. Kaushalya Sai, District Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, former विधायक Shri Bharat Sai, State President of the Pensioners’ Association Dr. D.P. Manhar, and a large number of pensioners.
