Bhagwat Katha and Satsang foster righteousness, morality and social harmony: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Bhagwat Katha and satsangs stregnthen righteousness, morality and social harmony in society. He said they serve as an effective medium for spiritual awakening and social awareness. Listening to katha and satsangs brings contentment to the mind and enriches life, providing a fulfilment that material pleasures, wealth or even 56 delicacies cannot offer.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the concluding ceremony of Sant Shri Kamal Kishor Nagar Maharaj’s katha at village Chittoda in Indore on Monday. He said the very name of Guruvar Shri Kamal Kishor Nagar ji is a symbol of divine blessings for us, and through his discourses over the years, devotees have experienced heavenly realms in devotion to God. Katha and satsangs bring the joy of all pilgrimage sites, including heaven itself. He emphasised that while material comforts and luxuries cannot satisfy the soul, devotion to God and satsangs provide complete fulfilment and pave the way for a successful life.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav lavishly praised Maharaj Shri Kamal Kishor Nagarji’s efforts for cow service, calling it the greatest virtue. He said Maharajji has instilled the awareness that discourse must be complemented by values and service. Since coming to power, the government has made continuous special efforts to develop gaushalas, working to position Madhya Pradesh as a model state for cow service. He said, promoting the sentiment of Gopal in every home, wherever there is a cow, Lord Gopal resides. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav elaborated on Sanatan traditions, the importance of Kumbh and Simhastha baths, stating that water is not just for physical purification but the origin and foundation of life traditions. He reiterated the resolve to make the upcoming Simhastha historic and grand by ensuring the purification of the Shipra River and strengthening water conservation efforts.
Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the commitment to advance religion, culture and development in unison is being realised. He said that Geeta Bhawans are being constructed in villages and cities across the state. Shri Silawat stated that efforts to fulfil the resolve of purifying the Shipra River are gaining momentum under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He added that the construction of 29–30 km of ghats along the Shipra and arrangements enabling millions of devotees to bathe round-the-clock during major religious events are historic and unprecedented achievements. He further said that the continuous flow of water in the Narmada and Shipra rivers ensures the uninterrupted conduct of sacred rituals such as achman and yagna-snan.
Sant Shri Kamal Kishor Nagar ji Maharaj said governance enriched with ethics and dharma forms the true foundation of development. When administration aligns with ethics and dharma, it ensures real public welfare and directs progress anew. He said rhe saidule without ethics is incomplete, and wealth without dharma is hollow. Praising Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the CM sat on the ground like a common citizen, listening to the katha with simplicity, reflecting his devotion, humility and natural personality. When religious events occur alongside ethics and dharma, the state naturally becomes adorned and prosperous. Despite a packed schedule, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s attendance shows his sensitivity and spiritual inclination. He is not confined to politics alone but possesses deep knowledge and extensive experience of the state’s pilgrimage sites, temples and rich cultural heritage.
