Main Accused Arrested from Bihar in Fake Learning Driving Licence Case

Mumbai, Dec. 2025 : The main accused of a gang involved in cheating citizens by creating a fake website to issue bogus Learning Driving Licences and gaining unauthorized access to government computer systems has been arrested from the state of Bihar. This action was carried out jointly by the Jalna Local Crime Branch and the Cyber Police Station.

In this case, on November 26, 2025, Abhijit Kaduba Bavaskar, Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector and Deputy Regional Transport Officer, Jalna, had lodged a complaint. It was alleged that unknown accused misused government procedures through a fake website and provided fake learning driving licences to citizens for financial gain. Accordingly, a case was registered at the Cyber Police Station, Jalna.
Considering the seriousness of the offence, under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police, Jalna, teams from the Local Crime Branch and the Cyber Police Station were formed. During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused, Biddaraj Pramod Yadav (age 24, resident of Tengraha, District Saharsa, Bihar), was frequently changing his place of residence. Finally, on December 23, 2025, he was detained following a search operation conducted in the Patna, Simri Bakhtiyarpur, and Saharsa areas.

From the accused, items used in the commission of the crime, including a laptop, an iPhone, and a thumb impression machine, collectively valued at approximately ₹1.46 lakh, have been seized. The arrested accused was produced before the court on December 28, 2025, where he was remanded to four days of police custody.

Earlier in this case, Faisal Bashir Mir from Jammu and Kashmir and Mujahid alias Don Raisoddin Ansari from Jalna have already been arrested.

This operation was jointly carried out by officers and personnel of the Local Crime Branch and the Cyber Police Station under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police, Jalna, the Additional Superintendent of Police, and the Saharsa District Police Administration, as informed by the Transport Commissioner, Mumbai.
