Society Progressing on the Path of Prosperity with the Blessings of Mata Shakambari: Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma

Raipur, January 2026 : On the sacred and auspicious occasion of Mata Shakambari Jayanti, Deputy Chief Minister and Kawardha MLA Shri Vijay Sharma participated on Saturday in Jayanti celebrations held in the villages of Mainpuri, Birutola, Amlideeh, Barpela Tola, Sohagpur and Ghughrikhurd in Kabirdham district. On this occasion, he performed traditional prayers and rituals to Mata Shakambari and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, peace and well-being of the people of the state and the district. During the programme, the Deputy Chief Minister also formally inaugurated a kitchen shed in Sohagpur village.

Addressing members of the community, Shri Sharma highlighted the ideals of Mata Shakambari and emphasised the values of social harmony, hard work and cooperation. He said that such events not only unite society but also strengthen cultural and social values. He also reviewed the progress of public welfare schemes of the government and ongoing development works in the region.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Patel community has always been known as a hardworking, self-reliant and self-respecting community. With the blessings of Mata Shakambari, the community has remained prosperous and has consistently upheld the tradition of working together. He noted that the spirit of cooperation is deeply ingrained in the Marar–Patel community, which enables society and the government to jointly carry forward various development initiatives successfully.

Shri Sharma further stated that through enterprise, labour and determination, the Patel community has not only progressed itself but has also played a significant role in supporting and nurturing other sections of society. He said that other communities should draw inspiration from the Patel community’s work ethic, discipline and sense of collective responsibility.

Praying to Mata Shakambari, the Deputy Chief Minister wished that her blessings bring abundance of food and wealth to every household, keep farms and fields flourishing, and ensure good health and happiness for all citizens, while the region continues to move forward on the path of progress. He added that the state government is making continuous efforts, in coordination with all sections of society, for the upliftment of villages, the poor, farmers and workers.

On this occasion, Shri Sharma also reviewed the status of development works underway in various villages and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials. He stressed that the benefits of government schemes must reach the last person, and for this, everyone must work responsibly and collectively.

Lalita Sukhadas Patel, Shri Bhim Singh Patel, former District Panchayat President Shri Ram Kumar Bhatt, Shri Teerath Patel, along with other public representatives and members of the community.
