As per the intention of the government, the schemes should reach the last person: Agriculture Minister Shri Netam
Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, during his visit to Balrampur district today, reviewed the progress of schemes by holding a meeting of district level officers in the meeting hall of the Joint District Office Building located at the district headquarters. In the meeting, he inquired about the progress of the infrastructure works approved in this session and the ones already underway and gave necessary guidelines to the officers. While reviewing the implementation of department-wise schemes, Agriculture Minister Shri Netam said that officers play an important role in taking the schemes to the last person of the society as per the intention of the government. He said that the officers and employees should discharge their responsibilities with full devotion so that the eligible beneficiaries can get the benefits of the government schemes.
In the meeting, first of all, Agriculture Minister Shri Netam said that due to continuous heavy rains in the district, bridges, culverts, roads have been damaged and the problem of water seepage has come up in many hostels, ashrams, schools and government buildings, which he directed to resolve on time. He inquired about the work being done by the Health Department for the prevention of seasonal diseases in the PVTG communities and forest areas of the district. The Chief Medical and Health Officer informed that the team of the Health Department is constantly visiting the areas of PVTG settlements and conducting checkups. Public awareness programmes are also being organised for the prevention of these diseases under the Stop Diarrhea Campaign and regular checkups of children in ashrams and hostels. Agriculture Minister Shri Netam directed to ensure the use of mosquito nets in all the ashrams and hostels operating in the district along with screening for sickle cell. He directed the PWD department officials to repair the roads damaged by rain along with repairing the potholes created due to rain between Balrampur and Ramanujganj on NH 343 passing through the district.
Minister Shri Netam reviewed the Agriculture Department and took information about the distribution and storage of fertilizers and seeds and directed the concerned officials to provide fertilizers to the farmers on time. Shri Netam asked the officers and employees of the departments to do continuous monitoring at the field level regarding the implementation of government schemes. Collector Mr. Remigius Ekka, Superintendent of Police Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, Additional Collector Mr. Indrajit Barman, Joint Collector Mr. R.N. Pandey and other district level officers were present in the meeting.
