Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of tigers in India and also the largest number of tiger reserves. He stated that continuous measures are being taken to strengthen wildlife conservation. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, wildlife tourism destinations are being linked through a dedicated corridor, which has been named the ‘Tiger Tourism Corridor’. The State Government is promoting both wildlife conservation and tourism. Owing to Madhya Pradesh’s strategic geographical location, this corridor will also serve as a major benefit for neighbouring states, providing seamless connectivity for tourism, commercial and other essential activities. Roads connecting major tiger reserves across the state will be upgraded under this initiative.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said in his message that the roads linking Pench Tiger Reserve to Kanha Tiger Reserve, Kanha to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, and Bandhavgarh to Panna Tiger Reserve will span 625 kilometres, with ₹5,000 crore to be invested in upgradation and development.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is receiving several major development initiatives under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Following the successful reintroduction of cheetahs at Kuno National Park in Sheopur, the region has emerged as a major attraction for wildlife enthusiasts and tourists. Visitors from Madhya Pradesh, neighbouring states such as Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, and other parts of the country are arriving in large numbers, bringing continued benefits to the state. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh has also received major highway projects through the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The Atal Pragati Path will benefit the entire Chambal belt, including Gwalior, Bhind and Sheopur. This corridor will prove highly effective in connecting the Chambal region with Uttar Pradesh and Delhi-NCR, and will boost industrial and tourism activities in the region. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the estimated cost of the Atal Pragati Path is around ₹12,000 crore. Once operational, travel time between Madhya Pradesh and Delhi-NCR will be reduced to approximately three to four hours. The project will also improve connectivity to the Delhi–Mumbai Corridor and ports, accelerating industrial growth in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the state has received another major boost in the form of the Bhopal–Jabalpur Greenfield Expressway, with an estimated cost of ₹9,716 crore. In addition, projects such as Bhopal–Indore–Prayagraj, Jabalpur–Nagpur, and Indore–Dhule–Pune will play an important role in achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat@2047. He informed that important discussions were recently held with Nitin Gadkari on strengthening road connectivity in all directions in the future, and a time-bound roadmap has been finalised.

Keeping Simhastha 2028 in view, timelines have been fixed to complete major road projects by December 2027. Directions have been issued to ensure the timely completion of projects such as the Khandwa Bypass, Jabalpur Ring Road, Indore–Harda Road and Rewa Bypass. To ensure speed and quality in execution, regular review meetings will also be conducted.
