Dial 108 Sanjeevani Express Becomes Lifeline of Jashpur District

10,114 Patients Received Emergency Services in 2025

Raipur, January 2026: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, healthcare facilities in Jashpur district are witnessing continuous expansion. With the Chief Minister gifting 10 additional Sanjeevani Express ambulances to the district, emergency health services have been further strengthened. At present, a total of 24 Sanjeevani Express ambulances are operating round the clock, serving as lifesavers across both urban and rural areas of the district.

Deepak Sahu, Manager of Sanjeevani Express 108 in the district, informed that during the year 2025, a total of 10,114 patients received timely emergency medical assistance through the Dial 108 Sanjeevani Express ambulance service. These ambulances played a crucial role in handling emergencies such as road accidents, critical illnesses, heart attacks, snake bites, and maternity-related cases.

In 2025 alone, Dial 108 Sanjeevani Express ambulances safely transported 572 pregnant women to hospitals for delivery. In several instances, successful deliveries were conducted inside the ambulances themselves, saving the lives of both mothers and newborns. This highlights the effectiveness of modern medical equipment available in the ambulances and the prompt response of trained healthcare personnel.

The addition of 10 new ambulances provided by Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has ensured quicker access to healthcare even in remote and difficult-to-reach areas. This has not only reduced response time but has also enabled rural populations to receive life-saving medical care without delay. Residents of the district have expressed that the Sanjeevani Express ambulance service has become a dependable support during emergencies, significantly strengthening the overall healthcare system.
