Traffic Diversions on Samruddhi Expressway for Five Days for Gantry Installation
Amravati, January 2026 : An important notice has been issued for motorists travelling on the Hinduhṛidayasamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Expressway. Traffic on a stretch of the expressway in Amravati district will be temporarily halted for five days, from January 9 to January 13, 2026, due to gantry installation work.
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has undertaken the installation of gantries under the Highway Traffic Management System project. The work will be carried out in 10 phases.
The gantries will be installed on the stretch passing through Dhamangaon Railway, Chandur Railway, and Nandgaon Khandeshwar talukas, between kilometre 90+500 and kilometre 150+300. During each phase of the work, traffic on the concerned carriageway will be completely stopped for 45 to 60 minutes. Once a phase is completed, traffic on that carriageway will be restored to normal.
As this technical work may cause temporary inconvenience to commuters, the administration has appealed to travellers to plan their journeys accordingly and strictly follow the instructions of highway personnel.
