Review of Preparations for Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet–2026: Farmers of the State Will Learn World-Class New Technologies and Innovations in Agriculture; Increase in Farmers’ Income Will Strengthen Their Economic Condition – Chief Secretary
Jaipur, January 2026 : A review meeting on the preparations for the Rajasthan Global Agritech Meet (GRAM) 2026 was held on Wednesday at the State Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mr. V. Srinivas. He said that the state government is continuously striving to strengthen the economic condition of farmers, make them leaders in the agricultural sector, and enhance their productivity. He added that through the organisation of GRAM, farmers of the state will gain knowledge of modern agricultural technologies and, by adopting these, will be able to practice smart farming and emerge as leaders in the agriculture sector.
The Chief Secretary directed departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cooperation, Revenue, Industries, and Tourism to work in close coordination to ensure the successful organisation of the event. To ensure maximum participation of farmers, he emphasised online registration of farmers through a dedicated portal, so that a large number of progressive farmers can participate and benefit from the latest technologies and innovations.
Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Horticulture, Ms. Manju Rajpal, gave a presentation through a PPT on the preparations for GRAM. She informed that more than 50,000 farmers from across the state are expected to participate in the event. The meet will promote the agricultural strengths and potential of the state and its allied sectors. Roadshows will also be organised in India and abroad to publicise the event.
The Agritech Meet will feature farmer–scientist interactions, farmer conclaves, exhibitions, seminars, conferences, buyer–seller meets, and business meetings. More than 250 exhibitors and companies will participate, along with agricultural universities, research institutions, delegations from over 32 countries, ICAR institutions, and various other government and non-government organisations.
It is noteworthy that the objective of GRAM is to bring globally available modern agricultural technologies and innovations to farmers in the state. By adopting these new technologies, farmers will be able to increase their productivity, thereby strengthening their economic condition.
Senior officials from departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cooperation, Revenue, Industries, Tourism, Water Resources, Rural Development, Energy, Finance, Urban Development, Information Technology, and Food and Civil Supplies were present at the meeting.
