Chief Minister Rubber Mission: Siaha District Meeting
Siaha, January 2026: At around 11:00 AM today, a district-level meeting was held at the DC Mini Conference Hall, Siaha, to discuss the implementation of rubber cultivation under the Chief Minister Rubber Mission in Siaha district, along with cluster-based and group participation.
The meeting was chaired by Pu V.L. Hruaizela Khiangte, Chairman of the District Level Committee on the Chief Minister Rubber Mission, Siaha, who is also the Deputy Commissioner of Siaha. Deliberations focused on the selection of progress partners and clusters in Siaha district, as well as on finalizing the modalities for implementing the Chief Minister Rubber Mission and identifying suitable land areas for rubber plantation.
As per the guidelines of the Chief Minister Rubber Mission, which stipulate that rubber cultivation should be undertaken at altitudes not exceeding 500 meters above mean sea level, Amotlah village and four surrounding areas in Siaha district have been selected. A total of 20 progress partner families have been chosen, and rubber cultivation is planned to be carried out over an area of 20 hectares of land.
The meeting was attended by Pu S. Lalremthanga, Deputy Chief Executive Member of the Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC), officials from the Land Resources, Soil and Water Conservation Department, and members of the Rubber Mission Board.
