CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Holds Pre-Budget Dialogue with Employee Unions, Emphasizes Crucial Role of Staff in Public Welfare

Jaipur, Jan 2026: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma stated that through the services of government employees, the state can achieve the objectives of welfare-oriented policies and programs. The welfare of women, youth, workers, and farmers is possible only through the dedication and commitment of personnel. He assured that the state government is always ready to protect employees’ interests, welfare, and improve working conditions.

On Monday, the CM held a pre-budget dialogue at the Chief Minister’s Office with representatives of various employee organizations. He emphasized that employees are the foundation of state administration, and employee organizations strengthen this foundation. The government will strive to incorporate the expectations, suggestions, and aspirations of employees into the budget to the maximum extent possible.

He added that departments are discussing administrative demands with union representatives through departmental committees to ensure timely resolution. A Personnel Welfare Section has been established in the Personnel Department to provide swift and effective solutions to employee issues. Additionally, decisions on rules and promotions are taken as needed to provide relief to employees.

Recruitment calendar for nearly 1 lakh posts announced:
The CM said that significant steps have been taken for employee welfare. To fulfill the target of 4 lakh government recruitments in 5 years, recruitment processes are being expedited. Over the past two years, more than 1 lakh youth have been appointed. Recruitment exams were conducted for 52,453 Class IV employees and 2,756 drivers. On the occasion of National Youth Day, a recruitment calendar for over 1 lakh posts was also announced.

Positive decisions provide broad relief:
CM Sharma said that the government has taken favorable decisions on employee demands, providing widespread relief to personnel and youth. The validity of waiting lists has been extended from 6 months to 1 year, and the time limit for compassionate appointment applications for dependents of deceased government employees has been extended from 90 days to 180 days. Employees who could not clear the typing exam within the prescribed period before Dec 31, 2022, will be given two additional chances.

The government has also provided 2 years’ relaxation in required experience for promotion opportunities. Under RGHS medical benefits, female and male employees can now choose one parent or in-laws for coverage.

During the dialogue, representatives from numerous employee organizations—All Rajasthan State Employees Joint Federation (Integrated), Rajasthan Private Assistant Category Federation, Rajasthan Secretariat Staff Federation, Rajasthan Anganwadi Employees Federation, Rajasthan Teachers’ Union National, Indian Workers’ Union, All Rajasthan Disabled Employees Federation, Rajasthan Patwari Association, among others—shared suggestions and reiterated their commitment to working with dedication to achieve the vision of a developed Rajasthan.

Unions appreciate CM’s decisions for employee welfare:
Representatives expressed gratitude to the CM for the continuous implementation of government job announcements and decisions in employees’ interest. They said his engagement with employee issues motivates staff and energizes them.

Senior officials present included Additional Chief Secretary Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary Finance Vaibhav Galaria, and Secretary Personnel Archana Singh.
