Tricolor symbolises the sacrifice of ancestors and strengthens the foundation of the future – Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal

On the eve of Independence Day, the District Administration and the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare organized the Independence Run. Collector Shri Karthikeya Goyal flagged off the Independence Run. The Independence Run started from the Collectorate premises, passed through the Degree College, Rose Garden and ended at the Shaheed Colonel Viplav Tripathi Stadium.

On this occasion, Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal said in his address that this national festival of Independence Day reminds us how many sacrifices our ancestors have made for this freedom. The tricolor flag is a symbol of gratitude towards their sacrifice and our unity. We have got independence after a long struggle of our ancestors, which they have handed over to us as a legacy. He told the school children to take a pledge on this festival of Independence Day that by understanding the values ​​of freedom, we should give our best contribution in taking the country forward. For this, it is important that all of you study diligently and make your foundation strong. Work hard with full dedication in whichever field you want to make a career. Only your contributions will make the country’s identity on the world stage.  

On this occasion, ADM Ms. Santan Devi Jangde, Additional Collector Mr. Rajiv Kumar Pandey, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Sunil Kumar Chandravanshi, Councilor Mr. Pankaj Kankarwal, SDM Raigarh Mr. Praveen Tiwari, Assistant Director Sports and Youth Welfare Department Mr. Amit Markam, DPO Mr. L.R. Kachhap and other district level officers were present. The stage was conducted by Principal Mr. Rajesh Daniel.

Pledge was taken for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’, signature campaign was also conducted

On this occasion, Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal administered the oath of Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan to all the people present in the program. Everyone took an oath that by hoisting the tricolor, they will respect the spirit of our freedom fighters and brave sons and will dedicate themselves to the development and progress of India. During this, a signature campaign was also conducted regarding Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan. In which the people present wrote their messages.
