Fourth Time Scale Scheme implemented for teachers – Approval of ₹322.34 crore

A meeting of the Cabinet Ministers was held on Tuesday at the Mantralaya chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The Chief Minister and members of the Cabinet attended the meeting with tablets.

The Cabinet approved the implementation of the Fourth Time Scale Scheme for Assistant Teachers, Teachers of the academic cadre and Primary and Middle School Teachers of the new teaching cadre on completion of 35 years of service on or after July 1, 2023. For this, an amount of ₹322.34 crore has been approved.

Approval of ₹3,660 crore for Sandipani Schools in the second phase

The Cabinet approved an estimated expenditure of ₹3,660 crore for the establishment of 200 fully equipped Sandipani Schools in the second phase. The capacity of the proposed schools in this phase will be more than 1,000 students each.

Approval of ₹1,133.67 crore for Ujjain city water augmentation scheme

Keeping in view Simhastha–2028, the Cabinet approved the Ujjain city water augmentation scheme with a cost of ₹1,133.67 crore.

₹90 lakh tribute grant approved for the family of late Assistant Sub-Inspector Gautam

The Cabinet approved a tribute grant of ₹90 lakh for the family of late Shri Ramcharan Gautam, Assistant Sub-Inspector, who was martyred in an incident in district Mauganj. It is noteworthy that a special ex-gratia assistance of ₹10 lakh had already been provided to the family on April 1, 2025.

In Shahpur police station area, village Gadra, a family had been taken hostage by members of the community. During custody of the body after the death of a person inside the house, the community attacked the police force. Shri Gautam performed his duty fearlessly, without caring for his life, and attained martyrdom.

50% rebate in motor vehicle tax at trade fairs

The Cabinet approved a 50 percent rebate in motor vehicle tax on automobile sales at the Gwalior Trade Fair–2026 and Ujjain Vikramotsav Trade Fair–2026.

Approval of Solar-cum-Storage Power Supply Projects

The Cabinet approved three solar-cum-energy storage power supply projects to meet the state’s energy requirements. Under these projects, being developed by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited, approval has been granted for : Solar with 4-hour storage – 300 MW, Solar with 6-hour storage – 300 MW and Solar with 24-hour storage – 200 MW (single-cycle charging-based energy storage projects) These projects will ensure availability of affordable, clean, and reliable electricity, even during peak demand periods.

Solar energy is available only during daytime and depends on weather conditions. Similarly, wind energy availability is uncertain and depends on wind speed and availability. Considering the increasing share of renewable energy in Madhya Pradesh, grid stability requirements, peak-demand management, and the objective of ensuring 24×7 power supply, establishment of renewable energy–based energy storage projects is extremely important.

Approval of more than ₹898 crore for irrigation projects in Rajgarh and Raisen districts

The Cabinet approved more than ₹898 crore for irrigation projects in Rajgarh and Raisen districts.

Mohanpura Extension (Sarangpur) Irrigation Project, Sarangpur tehsil, Rajgarh district – Administrative approval of ₹396.21 crore. This will provide irrigation to 11,040 hectares of land in 26 villages, benefiting 10,400 farmer families.

Sultanpura Lift Irrigation Project, Raisen district – Administrative approval of ₹115.99 crore, benefiting 5,700 hectares of land in 20 villages and 3,100 farmer families.

Barna Lift Irrigation Project, Bareli tehsil, Raisen district – Administrative approval of ₹386.22 crore, providing irrigation to 15,000 hectares of land in 36 villages, benefiting 6,800 farmer families.

Approval for implementation of Madhya Pradesh SpaceTech Policy–2026

The Cabinet approved the implementation of the Madhya Pradesh SpaceTech Policy–2026, considering the availability of 322 industrial parks, electronics manufacturing clusters, 31 GW power supply, excellent educational institutions, and a favorable ecosystem in the state, with a view to promoting space-grade manufacturing.

The policy will promote innovation in satellite manufacturing, geospatial analysis, and downstream applications. Over the next five years, the policy is expected to attract ₹1,000 crore investment and generate approximately 8,000 jobs, with an estimated financial implication of ₹628 crore.

With the implementation of this policy, Madhya Pradesh will move towards becoming a strong hub in the space technology sector. The policy will provide special incentives, infrastructure, and research support to attract the space industry. It will boost innovation in areas such as agriculture, disaster management, and urban planning, leading to economic growth, employment generation, and global recognition. A SpaceTech Centre of Excellence and incubation network will be established under the innovation and research component.

₹5,000 crore approved for three years under “Chief Minister Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme – Phase V”

For infrastructure development in all urban local bodies of the state, approval has been granted for ₹5,000 crore for three years (FY 2026–27 to 2028–29) under the “Chief Minister Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme – Phase V.”

Under the scheme, works such as construction of master plan roads, major and other district roads, road safety and urban traffic improvement, 100% drinking water supply, sewerage, gap coverage in other projects, interception and diversion drains, STP construction, and other priority works of the state government will be undertaken. The scheme will be implemented by urban local bodies and will help provide essential infrastructure in cities.

Other decisions

The Cabinet approved the formation of a Cabinet Committee for determining the Excise Policy for the year 2026–27.
