MP–Israel Hold Talks on Technology and Innovation Collaboration in Davos

Key Discussions held in Presence of Principal Secretary Shri Singh

During the World Economic Forum 2026, an important discussion on technology and innovation collaboration was held between the Government of Madhya Pradesh and the Israel Innovation Authority at the Madhya Pradesh State Lounge in Davos. The meeting involved detailed deliberations between Dr. Alan Stoppel, Chairman of the Israel Innovation Authority and Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Raghavendra Singh.

Key Discussion between IIA Chairman and MP Principal Secretary

The primary objective of the meeting was to accelerate technology-driven economic growth and explore possibilities for bilateral cooperation in the field of innovation. During the discussion, Dr. Stoppel shared insights into Israel’s innovation-led development model, highlighting strengths in advanced sectors such as quantum technology, education technology (EdTech), defence technology and water solutions. He explained that Israel’s robust research and development ecosystem is anchored in active private-sector participation and co-investment models, effectively linking public support with commercial viability.

Briefing on Projects and Innovation Initiatives

Principal Secretary Shri Raghavendra Singh appraised the delegation of Madhya Pradesh’s intent to promote government-to-government (G2G) collaboration, pilot projects and startup-led innovation in the field of civil technology. He also discussed opportunities to advance investment and industrial partnerships through joint pilot projects, technology demonstrations and co-investment mechanisms under existing India–Israel cooperation frameworks.

The meeting also reached a consensus on working towards a formal cooperation framework to strengthen technology pilots, innovation partnerships and institutional linkages between Madhya Pradesh and Israel.

Way Forward

Both sides agreed to continue dialogue to identify priority sectors, explore pilot project opportunities and develop appropriate institutional mechanisms. The objective is to give fresh momentum to India–Israel innovation collaboration, with Madhya Pradesh positioned as a key partner. The dialogue reflects the state’s commitment to industrial development, investment promotion and technology-driven sustainable progress through global innovation partnerships.
