Telangana Secures ₹1,000 Crore SARGAD Investment at WEF 2026

Davos, Jan 2026: Telangana marked a significant milestone in its industrial growth journey at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, as US-based industrial and investment platform SARGAD signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana. The agreement signals an indicative investment of up to ₹1,000 crore over the next three to five years.

The MoU was signed during a meeting between SARGAD Founder and CEO Shri Srinivas Thota and the Telangana Rising delegation led by Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy, where SARGAD expressed strong interest in a long-term, phased investment and ecosystem development initiative in the state.

With expertise across aerospace, defence, automotive, and advanced manufacturing sectors, SARGAD specializes in long-cycle, certification-driven, export-oriented industrial projects. During the discussions, the company conveyed its intent to establish an aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Telangana.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy presented Telangana’s integrated economic development framework, highlighting the creation of three distinct growth zones:

  • CURE (Core Urban Region Economy) for service-led sectors with a Net Zero focus,
  • PURE (Peri-Urban Region Economy) for manufacturing industries, and
  • RARE (Rural Agri Region Economy) for agriculture and green economy initiatives.

The Chief Minister informed SARGAD about plans to develop new airports at Warangal and Adilabad, inviting the company to explore setting up its MRO facility at either location. Emphasizing the state’s commitment to balanced regional development, he assured that attractive incentives would be extended to encourage industrialization in these regions.

Minister for IT and Industries Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu participated in the discussions, exploring opportunities for Telangana’s MSMEs, particularly in equipment manufacturing and allied industrial supply chains.

The SARGAD engagement reflects Telangana’s ongoing strategy to position itself as a preferred investment destination for high-value, export-oriented industries while strengthening local manufacturing ecosystems. The MoU is expected to catalyze job creation, technology transfer, and regional industrial growth, further advancing Telangana’s vision for sustainable and inclusive economic development.
