Development Gains New Momentum as Road Network Reaches Remote Areas
₹18.26 crore approved for construction of six roads on the directions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai
Jashpurnagar, January 2026 : Under the visionary and people-centric leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, development works in Jashpur district have gained unprecedented momentum. Guided by his direction, new avenues of progress and prosperity are opening across the district. Significant progress has been made especially in the construction of roads and bridges, considered the lifeline of the economy, bringing visible transformation to the district and positive changes in the lives of citizens.
Over the past two years, 603 road projects worth ₹914.94 crore have been approved in the district. Continuing this journey of development, administrative approval has now been granted for the construction of six new roads at a cost of ₹18.26 crore, as per the Chief Minister’s instructions.
The approved projects include a 4 km road from Bhattha to the Surguja border at a cost of ₹3.91 crore; a 4.42 km Banstoli–Pandutoli access road costing ₹4.38 crore; a 2.52 km Durgapara–Farsapani Maini road with bridges and culverts at ₹2.53 crore; a 2.34 km Sardih–Patrapara road costing ₹2.62 crore; a 1.75 km Jarudad–Tatkela road at ₹2.36 crore; and a 2.50 km Banstoli–Akrikona road costing ₹2.44 crore.
With sustained efforts in infrastructure development under the Chief Minister’s leadership, the benefits of growth are reaching even the most remote areas. Improved road connectivity is linking communities to schools, healthcare facilities, markets, and essential services, integrating them into the mainstream of development. All-weather, safe roads are reducing travel time to hospitals, improving access to education, lowering school dropout rates, and enabling farmers to secure better prices for their produce.
This extensive expansion of the road network is not only easing mobility but also significantly enhancing the quality of life. Residents of the district have expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and the State Government for these transformative development initiatives.
