Being aware citizens, we cannot remain ignorant of the incidents happening in the neighborhood: CM Yogi

Lucknow : During the 78th Independence Day celebrations on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the importance of unity and vigilance in the face of potential societal threats. He cautioned that in this era of rapid development and change, certain elements with malicious intentions are attempting to sow discord and spread anarchy within society. He warned that those who seek to undermine the unity and integrity of the nation might try to exploit divisions along caste and religious lines.

“We must remain vigilant against the conspiracies of these selfish elements, who rely on lies, deceit, and trickery to spread poison within our communities,” the Chief Minister emphasized. He called for a collective effort to dispel rumors spread by these individuals, ensuring that their divisive agendas do not succeed.

CM Yogi also highlighted the state’s significant achievements in maintaining excellent law and order, noting that this progress has been instrumental in achieving the goals of good governance. “The establishment of the Rule of Law has transformed the perception of our state both within the country and globally,” he remarked.

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to mention the selection of three officers for the Chief Minister’s Excellent Service Police Medal.

He said that as aware citizens, one cannot remain ignorant of the incidents happening in the neighborhood. He emphasized that the forces currently wreaking havoc and dehumanizing societies in neighboring regions could potentially target the social harmony of villages, cities, and towns in Uttar Pradesh. “We must identify these divisive forces, stay cautious, and respond decisively to their malicious designs,” CM Yogi urged.

Highlighting the achievements of the state government, CM Yogi noted that the right policies, clear intentions, and successful implementation have led to a significant reduction in crime. He pointed to the latest data from the National Crime Records Bureau, which confirms Uttar Pradesh’s top ranking in securing convictions for crimes against women.

“The atmosphere of extreme terror in the state has ended due to effective action taken against identified mafia and dreaded criminals. Today, Uttar Pradesh is riot-free, and festivals and celebrations are taking place peacefully,” he stated.

CM Yogi extended heartfelt congratulations to the police personnel of Uttar Pradesh for their unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order in the state. “On behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government, I commend all the brave soldiers who work tirelessly, day and night, to ensure a secure and peaceful environment for our citizens,” he added.

In recognition of their outstanding service, three officers have been selected to receive the prestigious Chief Minister’s Excellent Service Police Medal this year. The honorees include Anurag Arya, Senior Superintendent of Police in Bareilly; Vipul Kumar Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police with the Special Task Force in Lucknow; and Arun Kumar, Head Constable in Bijnor. These officers would be honored by the Uttar Pradesh Home Department for their exemplary contributions to public safety.

CM Yogi also took a moment to pay tribute to the great patriots, freedom fighters, and valiant soldiers who have sacrificed their lives to strengthen internal security and protect the nation’s borders.
