GOA, Aug 2026 : AAP MLA from Benaulim Captain Venzy Viegas launched a career portal on Saturday, to help Goan Seafarers find job opportunities across the Maritime Industry. The event was graced by Capt Shoukat Mukherjee Founder and CEO of Naval Connection (TNC-HRA), Capt Avalon Colaco, Captain Superintendent and Principal of NUSI Maritime Academy Goa, Capt Niranjan D’Gama, Master Mariner and President of the Maritime Union of India, Joseph Fernandes, President of the Goan Seamen Association of India, Chief Engineer Mahesh Shetker, Co-founder and Executive Committee Member of the Goa Maritime Officers Association And Joseph Pimenta former ZP of Benaulim.
The features of the portal include 100% free registration, verified and genuine job opportunities, uploading of Sea Service resumes to help provide greater visibility and career growth. The portal already has 50 plus job providers empaneled, with jobs ranging from Captain, Chief Engineer to a bartender or a even housekeeping staff.
The event was attended by prospective young Seafarers who were taken through the features of the portal and also provided guidance by Capt Venzy Viegas himself.
Capt Viegas stated that if the youth give Aam Aadmi Party a chance they will find a Govt that works to ensure they get the best opportunities in the world.
