Mumbai, Aug 2026 : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the redeveloped Highmount State Guest House at Malabar Hill. Equipped to accommodate dignitaries, foreign delegations and eminent personalities from various fields, the guest house is expected to further strengthen the state’s hospitality infrastructure.
Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan, Protocol Minister Jaykumar Rawal, Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Public Works Minister Shivendrasinhraje Bhosale, MLA Vishwajit Kadam, Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Works Department Milind Mhaiskar, Secretary of Protocol, Foreign Direct Investment, Overseas Citizens’ Affairs and Outreach and Chief Protocol Officer Dr Rajesh Gawande, Public Works Department Chief Engineer Pragya Walke, along with senior officials, were present on the occasion.
The newly redeveloped state guest house at Malabar Hill has a total of 57 well-equipped rooms, including six VVIP rooms and 51 other rooms. The building comprises a ground floor and eight upper floors and has been designed with modern amenities, security and high-quality hospitality facilities in mind. During the visit, Chief Minister Fadnavis and other dignitaries inspected the guest house and reviewed its various facilities. Chief Minister Fadnavis expressed confidence that the guest house would play an important role in providing quality accommodation to dignitaries visiting Maharashtra from India and abroad.
