Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the Government Excellence Higher Secondary School in Lanji, Balaghat district, on Saturday, August 29, as part of the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan, and interacted with students. The Class 10 students were visibly excited to have the Chief Minister among them. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with them about their studies, interests and future goals. During the school visit held on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan under the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan, girl students tied rakhis on Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s wrist and expressed their wish that their school be converted into a Sandipani Vidyalaya as their gift. The Chief Minister assured them that their wish would be fulfilled and that their school would be converted into a Sandipani Vidyalaya.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while a Chemistry class was underway in Class 10, asked the students, “What can be put in water that causes fire?” He appreciated a girl student who answered that sodium catches fire when placed in water. The Chief Minister also asked the students what they wanted to become in the future. The students enthusiastically said that they wanted to prepare for the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) examinations and become government officers.
A girl student asked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav why CM Rise Schools had been named Sandipani Vidyalayas. Responding to her question, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the schools were named Sandipani Vidyalayas after Maharishi Sandipani, the guru of Lord Krishna and his friend Sudama. He explained that, like Guru Sandipani’s ashram, these schools provide equal and quality education to children from all sections of society without any discrimination, irrespective of their economic background. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav spent time with the students and also took photographs with them. He said he was delighted to see their enthusiasm, confidence and interest in education.
