Chhattisgarh CM Interacts with Meritorious Students from Rural Areas of Surguja During Educational Visit
Raipur, August 2026 :Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday interacted with around 50 meritorious students from rural areas of Surguja district who were on an educational tour of the state capital. The students, from seven government schools in the Ambikapur region, met the Chief Minister at his residence office in Raipur.
During the interaction, Chief Minister Sai spoke warmly with the students about their experiences, interests and aspirations. Encouraging them to set ambitious goals, he urged them to pursue their dreams with dedication, discipline and hard work.
Sai told the students that school life is the most important phase for laying a strong foundation for the future. The dreams nurtured during this period, combined with sincere efforts to achieve them, can shape the course of one's life. He emphasised that with hard work, discipline and commitment to one's goals, young people can achieve success in any field.
The Chief Minister also stressed that success should not be limited to becoming a doctor or an engineer. He said today's students have enormous opportunities in fields such as education, science, research, sports, technology, administration and entrepreneurship.
Every student, he noted, possesses unique talents and interests. The key is to recognise one's abilities, choose the right goal and work consistently towards achieving it. Sai also shared inspiring examples of talented individuals from Chhattisgarh who have achieved success in different fields.
Highlighting the state's progress in education, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh has witnessed continuous expansion of its educational infrastructure since its formation. Several reputed institutions of national importance have been established in the state, providing young people with opportunities to pursue quality higher and technical education.
He said the state government is committed to ensuring that students from rural and remote areas also receive quality education, proper guidance and equal opportunities to progress. Educational tours of this nature, he added, help generate curiosity among children and broaden their aspirations by exposing them to new possibilities.
Sai appreciated the initiative to organise the educational tour for students from rural areas and said that introducing them to reputed educational institutions would help them understand the opportunities available for higher education and careers. He wished the students a bright future and encouraged them to study sincerely and bring pride to their parents, schools and the state.
Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, while addressing the students, said that student life forms the foundation of an individual's entire future. Just as a strong building requires a strong foundation, he said, a successful future requires discipline, hard work and effective use of time during student life. He encouraged the students to use this important phase to identify their goals, acquire knowledge and develop their personalities.
Students from Government Higher Secondary Schools in Kankalon, Bakirma, Sukhri, Rampur, Mendrakala and Karji, along with students from Government Swami Atmanand Excellent School, Keshavpur, participated in the educational tour.
During their visit, the students toured several prominent institutions and destinations, including the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Nava Raipur. They also visited the Tribal Museum and the Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission office.
The students received an overview of the academic activities, educational opportunities and career prospects available at these institutions. Their opportunity to experience major institutions in Raipur and Nava Raipur at close quarters proved both informative and inspiring.
Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Chairman Vishwavijay Singh Tomar, Zila Panchayat member Payal Singh Tomar, teachers and a large number of students were also present on the occasion.
