‘Panchjanya’ a Vigilant Guardian of Nationalism; Youth Should Give Wings to Their Dreams, State Government Will Stand With Them at Every Step
Jaipur, Aug 2026 : Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that bringing positive change in people’s lives through transparency in administration and speed in decision-making is the true hallmark of good governance. With this commitment, his government is continuously working to make governance simpler, more transparent and citizen-centric while ensuring that government services reach every citizen with ease.
The Chief Minister was addressing the Panchjanya Good Governance Dialogue in Jaipur on Thursday. He said that Panchjanya has remained a strong voice of India’s national consciousness, cultural values and national ideology. At every stage of independent India’s journey, the publication has played the role of a vigilant guardian of nationalism and continued to contribute to nation-building.
Sharma said the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has consistently upheld the tradition of national service and inspired people from all sections of society to work together for nation-building. He recalled that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, who guided Panchjanya, gave Indian thought the philosophy of Integral Humanism.
He noted that Panchjanya began its journey as a weekly publication in 1948 under the editorship of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Recalling Vajpayee’s legacy, Sharma said his leadership, knowledge, humility and words dedicated to the nation continued to inspire generations.
The Chief Minister said that since 2014, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country has witnessed significant initiatives ranging from welfare schemes for the poor to efforts to eliminate terrorism and Left-Wing Extremism, along with India’s growing stature globally. Through the Jan Dhan Yojana, crores of people were brought into the formal banking system, while major tax reforms such as the Goods and Services Tax gave a new direction to the economy.
He also highlighted the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the abrogation of Article 370, saying that the “New India” has demonstrated its resolve to respond firmly to threats.
Rajasthan Government Focused on Citizen-Centric Governance
Sharma said the state government was implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas” at the grassroots level.
He said the 181 Rajasthan Sampark platform had emerged as an effective mechanism for taking the concerns of the last person in society directly to the government. Nearly 4.90 lakh grievances were disposed of through the platform during June alone, taking the overall grievance-resolution rate through Rajasthan Sampark to 99.17 per cent.
The Chief Minister said the state’s “double-engine government” was committed to empowering the poor, farmers, youth and women. The state government has increased the amount under the Kisan Samman Nidhi from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000. The monthly social security pension has been increased to Rs 1,450, while more than 4.40 lakh houses have been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
To promote girls’ education, the government has distributed 14 lakh bicycles and provided scooters to 46,000 female students. Under the Maa Voucher Scheme, pregnant women are being provided free sonography services.
Over 1.78 Lakh Appointments Made
Sharma said his government had worked to free the state’s youth from the problem of examination paper leaks. Soon after assuming office, the government constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and took action against those responsible. So far, the SIT has arrested 569 people, he said.
The state government has made appointments to more than 1.78 lakh posts, while recruitment processes for over 1.32 lakh posts are underway and preparations are being made for recruitment to more than 70,000 additional posts.
“The youth of Rajasthan should not merely become job seekers but also job creators,” Sharma said, urging young people to pursue their dreams. He assured them that the state government would stand with them at every step.
Direct Outreach to Villages
The Chief Minister said the government had undertaken the Gram Vikas Rath Abhiyan to reduce the distance between the administration and the people. Through the initiative, direct interaction was established with residents across more than 14,000 gram panchayats.
Similarly, the Mukhyamantri Viksit Gram-Viksit Ward Abhiyan is being used to prepare a roadmap for the comprehensive development of villages and wards. The government has also added around 10 lakh new members to cooperative societies, he said.
Roadmap for Water and Power Security
Sharma said the state government had prepared a comprehensive roadmap keeping Rajasthan’s water and power requirements in mind. The Ramjal Setu Link Project is being implemented for eastern Rajasthan, while the long-pending Yamuna water agreement for the Shekhawati region has also been facilitated.
Work is also underway on the Narmada and Dewas projects and the strengthening of the Gang Canal. Sharma expressed confidence that these initiatives would help Rajasthan move towards water self-sufficiency in the coming years.
He added that the state government was working in mission mode to ensure that farmers across all districts receive electricity during the daytime.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr Prem Chand Bairwa, Kshetra Sanghchalak Dr Ramesh Agrawal, Prant Sah-Sanghchalak Hemant Sethia, Bharat Prakashan Managing Director Arun Goyal, Panchjanya Editor Hitesh Shankar, along with other dignitaries, public representatives and a large number of young people were present at the event.
