Hyderabad, October 2026 : The Gujarat government on Tuesday showcased its industrial infrastructure, renewable energy capabilities, semiconductor sector and port connectivity to business leaders in Telangana as part of its efforts to attract investments ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2027.
More than 300 participants attended the summit roadshow at Taj Krishna in Hyderabad. Gujarat Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Primary, Secondary and Adult Education, and Higher and Technical Education, Dr Pradyuman Vaja, addressed the gathering after interacting with 12 business delegations and institutions.
Highlighting opportunities for collaboration between Gujarat and Telangana, Vaja said the two states could leverage their complementary industrial strengths to promote innovation, generate employment and support economic growth.
He noted that Telangana had established capabilities in information technology, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), life sciences, biotechnology, aerospace, defence and innovation, while Gujarat offered strengths in industrial infrastructure, ports, semiconductors, renewable energy and global connectivity.
Bringing together industries, entrepreneurs and young talent from both states could create new opportunities for business expansion and shared prosperity, the minister said.
The roadshow featured a presentation on VGGS 2027 by Mohammad Shahid, Commissioner and Principal Secretary of Gujarat’s Cottage and Rural Industries Department. The presentation outlined investment opportunities, industrial development prospects and incentives available to businesses looking to establish or expand operations in Gujarat.
It also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Maximum Governance, Minimum Government” as part of the state’s approach to facilitating investment and industrial growth.
The Hyderabad outreach forms part of Gujarat’s preparations for the 11th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, scheduled to take place in Gandhinagar from January 10 to 12, 2027.
The three-day summit will be held under the theme “Viksit Gujarat – Shaping Global Future”, bringing together business leaders, investors and other stakeholders to explore investment opportunities and partnerships.
Through roadshows and meetings with industry representatives across different locations, the Gujarat government is seeking to present its industrial ecosystem, infrastructure advantages and sector-specific investment opportunities to prospective investors.
The initiative also aims to strengthen business engagement between Gujarat and Telangana by identifying areas of mutual interest across technology, manufacturing, clean energy and emerging industries.
