Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the essence of Sanatan tradition lies in taking everyone along. Religious events such as Kalash Yatra foster love, harmony and fraternity in society. In Indian culture, water is regarded as a symbol of life and divinity. The Kalash Yatra also conveys the message of water conservation and our responsibility towards nature. He said that Agar Malwa has long been known for its faith, culture and traditions. The people of the district have consistently used religious events to foster social unity. The grand Kalash Yatra organised today symbolises faith and auspiciousness. Such processions connect society with its roots and values.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was virtually addressing the grand Kalash Yatra organised in Agar Malwa from Samatva Bhavan at the Chief Minister’s residence.
State Government Committed to Agar Malwa’s Development and Public Welfare
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the participation of women in the Kalash Yatra presents a beautiful reflection of Indian traditions. The State Government is continuously working for women’s dignity, safety, education and self-reliance. He said that it is the collective responsibility of society to ensure that the younger generation remains connected with its culture and traditions. Religious and cultural events help instil strong values in children and youth.
Madhya Pradesh is advancing its cultural heritage alongside new milestones of development. Special efforts are being made to strengthen roads, water and electricity infrastructure, promote farmers’ welfare, create employment opportunities and expand industrial activities across the state. New possibilities are also being created by integrating faith, tourism and culture. The State Government is committed to the development of Agar Malwa, expansion of facilities and public welfare. Agar district will welcome devotees arriving from Rajasthan during Simhastha 2028, and preparations are underway on a large scale.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav called upon people to take a pledge towards cleanliness, service, harmony and environmental conservation on the occasion of the Kalash Yatra. MLA Shri Madhu Gehlot said that a free mass marriage conference for economically weaker girls will be organised in Agar after four months.
