Telangana Steps Up Investor Outreach Ahead of Global Summit 2.0

Hyderabad, Aug 2026 : Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu on Wednesday called for an intensive investor outreach campaign through domestic and international roadshows ahead of the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2.0, scheduled to be held in December.

Chairing a Cabinet sub-committee meeting at Mahatma Phule Praja Bhavan, Vikramarka directed officials to establish a dedicated war room at Praja Bhavan to coordinate preparations for the major investment summit. He also asked officials to expedite invitation letters to prospective participants and ensure timely communication with key guests.

The Deputy Chief Minister instructed Chief Secretary Sanjai Jaju to closely supervise the war room through a senior official and ensure that preparations progress according to a clearly defined schedule. Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and Duddilla Sridhar Babu, along with senior officials, attended the meeting.

Vikramarka said all committees constituted for the summit should include the required experts and senior officials so that decisions could be taken efficiently. He directed the Chief Secretary to spend at least an hour every day reviewing preparations and monitoring the progress of various committees.

He also instructed a dedicated committee to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the current status of Memorandums of Understanding signed during last year’s summit. The review is intended to determine the progress of investments committed during the previous event and identify issues requiring government intervention.

The three-day summit, themed “Invest Telangana,” will take place on December 7, 8 and 9. The event is expected to provide a platform for Telangana to showcase its investment potential and emerging opportunities across key sectors, particularly defence, aerospace and pharmaceuticals.

The state government plans to organise the second edition on a significantly larger scale than last year’s inaugural summit. During the first summit, Telangana unveiled its “Telangana Rising 2047” vision, outlining a long-term development roadmap for the state.

This year, the government plans to unveil its ambitious “Future City” plan as a key highlight of the summit. The initiative is expected to form part of Telangana’s broader strategy to attract investment and position the state as a major destination for future-oriented industries and infrastructure.

The summit will also feature exhibitions and stalls showcasing the achievements of Telangana’s startups, industries and innovators across different sectors.

The government’s focus on roadshows, stronger coordination and close monitoring of investment commitments is aimed at ensuring that the summit translates into concrete investment opportunities, industrial expansion and employment generation for the state.
