Rs 76.81 lakh sanctioned for Surya Namaskar Chowk and Rs 24.83 lakh for a community hall
Raipur, Sept 2026 : In line with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s announcement, final approval has been granted for two important development works in Kunkuri town of Jashpur district at a total cost of Rs 1 crore 1 lakh 64 thousand. The projects include the construction of Surya Namaskar Chowk and a community hall. The approval of the two projects is expected to give fresh momentum to infrastructure development and the expansion of civic amenities in Kunkuri.
Chief Minister Sai had announced the two development works during the consecration ceremony of the newly constructed Kalibeshwar Mahadev Temple in Kaliba village. Following the announcement, final approval has now been granted for both projects, paving the way for their construction.
Surya Namaskar Chowk to be Developed at Rs 76.81 Lakh
Surya Namaskar Chowk will be constructed near Hanuman Tekri in Ward No. 6 of Kunkuri. An amount of Rs 76.81 lakh has been sanctioned for the project.
The development of the chowk will provide the town with an attractive and well-organised public space. Besides adding to the visual appeal and identity of Kunkuri, the site is expected to serve as a useful public facility for local residents.
Community Hall to Come Up at Rs 24.83 Lakh
A community hall will also be constructed near Hanuman Tekri in Ward No. 6. Final approval has been granted for Rs 24.83 lakh for the project.
The community hall will provide local residents with a convenient venue for social, cultural and other community events. The facility is expected to strengthen civic infrastructure and provide additional space for community activities.
