With the blessings of Baba Mahakal, the Simhastha 2028 Mahaparv will be organised on a grand, divine, magnificent and extraordinary scale. Development works undertaken in Ujjain for Simhastha will make the city more beautiful and well-organised ahead of the mega festival.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the charge-assumption ceremony of Simhastha Mela Authority Chairman Shri Jagdish Agrawal through video conferencing. He said saints, the administration and various organisations should fulfil their respective responsibilities and contribute to the successful organisation of Simhastha.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the guidance of saints and seers, the government and administration are making comprehensive arrangements to ensure the
convenience and service of devotees and saints during the Simhastha Mahaparv. The festival will be organised with the participation of everyone. He said farmers who have land available may develop facilities such as schools, hospitals and hostels on their land, for which the government will extend support.Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Ujjain is associated with immense pride and that the identity of Sanatan Dharma has been strengthened by saints and seers. He said, highlighting the contribution of all sections to the development works being undertaken for Simhastha, that people belonging to different religions have cooperated by making land available for places of worship. Many citizens have also voluntarily made space available from their houses and commercial establishments. The Chief Minister said other major religious sites in Ujjain would also be developed in the coming period, giving them a grander and more magnificent appearance.
Rajya Sabha MP Sant Bal Yogi Shri Umesh Nath Maharaj said the Simhastha Mahaparv is a centre of faith and devotion for crores of devotees. He said Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is focused on giving Simhastha a grand scale.
President of the local Akhada Parishad, Mahant Shri Rameshwardas Maharaj said Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has undertaken historic works for Simhastha 2028. He said, “The 2028 Kumbh will be organised on a grand scale, adding that the upcoming Simhastha Mahaparv will be extraordinary under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.”
MP Shri Anil Firojiya said Simhastha is the world's largest religious gathering associated with Sanatan Dharma. Preparations are therefore being undertaken on the same scale. He said the development of Mahakal Lok has provided devotees from across the world an opportunity to experience the divine presence and grandeur of Baba Mahakal.
Simhastha Mela Authority Chairman Shri Jagdish Agrawal said preparations for the historic organisation of Simhastha have begun under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He said the Chief Minister is firmly committed to Ujjain’s development and called upon everyone to play the role of a gracious host during the Simhastha festival.
Assumes Charge Amid Vedic Chanting and Rituals
At the charge-assumption ceremony held at the Simhastha Mela office premises, Shri Jagdish Agrawal offered prayers to Lord Mahakal’s image in the presence of saints and mahants in the Chairman’s chamber. He subsequently assumed charge as Chairman at an auspicious time amid the chanting of Vedic mantras.
Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal, Ujjain Development Authority Chairman Shri Ravi Solanki and other public representatives also addressed the gathering.
Mahant Shri Bhagwan Das Maharaj of Nirmohi Akhada, Mahant Shri Digvijay Das of Nirvani Akhada, Mahant Shri Digvijay Das Maharaj of Digambar Akhada, Mahant Shri Devgiri Maharaj of Atal Akhada, Mahant Shri Karanpuri Maharaj of Avahan Akhada, Madhya Pradesh Housing Board Chairman Shri Om Jain, Madhya Pradesh Textbook Corporation Chairman Shri Saubhagya Singh, Ujjain Development Authority Vice-Chairman Shri Mukesh Yadav, former MLA Shri Rajendra Bharti, Shri Ramlal Malviya, Shri Jagdish Panchal and a large number of public representatives and eminent citizens were present. The programme was conducted by Shri Kamal Bairwa, while Shri Jagdish Panchal delivered the vote of thanks.
