Revenue Board completes process through online DPC; posting orders to be issued soon
Promotion to Revenue Inspector cadre to strengthen supervision of revenue work at tehsil level
Lucknow, October 2026 : The Yogi government has taken an important step towards further strengthening revenue administration in Uttar Pradesh. On the directions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Board has completed the online Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) process for the 2025-26 selection year, promoting 455 Lekhpals across the state to the post of Revenue Inspector (Kanungo). Posting orders for the promoted personnel will be issued soon.
Uttar Pradesh Revenue Board Chairman B.L. Meena said, "The entire promotion process was conducted online. The personnel were assessed on the basis of prescribed eligibility criteria and service records. Following the assessment, 455 Lekhpals were found suitable for promotion."
The completion of the process through an online DPC has promoted transparency as well as timeliness in departmental promotions. The promotions will also help fill vacant posts in the Revenue Inspector cadre. This, in turn, will make the monitoring and supervision of revenue-related work at the tehsil and field levels more effective. It is also expected to expedite the disposal of land-related matters, surveys and measurements, revenue records and other revenue-related work.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has consistently emphasised the speedy and fair disposal of revenue matters, along with the maximum use of technology in administrative processes. In line with this approach, the online DPC is an important initiative towards ensuring transparency and fairness in personnel management and promoting the effective use of technology.
