1098 Helps Children in Crisis

Beed : The state government has made the toll-free number 1098 available 24 hours a day to provide immediate assistance to child laborers, child beggars, sexually abused children, missing and found children, and other distressed children in need of help. The government has issued an appeal to the public to use this number to assist children in distress.

Child Help Service 1098 is operational across Maharashtra, facilitated by the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of India, and the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra. This service is available to all children aged 0 to 18 who are in any kind of trouble or distress and require care and protection.

The service offers a 24/7 helpline for distressed children. Children in need can directly benefit from this service, or anyone else can use it to get help for a distressed child. This initiative was highlighted by Dr. Naranware, the Maharashtra State Commissioner for Women and Child Development.
