CM paid rich tributes to Chityala Ilamma on her birth anniversary
Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy paid rich tributes to revolutionary Telangana fighter Chityala Ilamma, who laid a strong foundation for land struggle, on the occasion of her birth anniversary on Tuesday (September 10). The Chief Minister recalled Ilamma’s bravery during the Telangana armed struggle.
The CM also remembered Ilamma always fought in support of the unprivileged communities against the occupation of their lands by the dominant communities and praised her important role in uniting the women community in the armed struggle.
Inspired by Chakali Ilamma, many women participated in the land struggle voluntarily, CM Revanth Reddy said that the Ilamma also stood as a symbol of women empowerment and consciousness of all sections.
