Kolasib DC Visits Fire Incident Site in Kolasib
Yesterday, in an unfortunate incident, a house belonging to Pu Elvis-a at Kolasib Tuithaveng, Hebron, an Assam-type structure, caught fire around 11:00 AM. Fortunately, no belongings were salvaged, and the house was completely destroyed.
Upon receiving the news, Kolasib Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pu Robert C Lalhmangaiha, along with SDO (S) Pu H. Laramliana and District Organiser Pu Lalnunfela, visited the site. As immediate relief, Rs. 3,000 was handed over to the community leaders coordinating the assistance efforts.
In addition to the immediate financial aid, the DC also informed that the affected family would be considered for government relief assistance as per eligibility.
At the time of the fire, no occupants were present in the house, and the exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported.
