5 vehicles challaned, fine of Rs 1.68 lakh imposed for illegal mining in Yamunanagar
Chandigarh – As per the instructions of the Haryana Government, the Mining Department, Yamunanagar is continuously taking action against illegal mining and transportation. During the checking of 2619 vehicles in Yamunanagar by the District Administration and Mining Department, 5 vehicles were challaned and a fine of around Rs 1.68 lakh was imposed.
As per the instructions of the Haryana Government, strict action will be taken against people doing illegal mining in the state. For this, monitoring is being done by forming teams at different levels. The administration is committed to stop illegal mining and transportation in the district.
Giving information, a spokesperson of the department said 1578 vehicles were checked by the teams of SDM Chhachhrauli. Similarly, 304 vehicles were checked by the teams of SDM Jagadhari. He said during the checking of 561 vehicles by the teams of SDM Radaur, 5 vehicles were challaned and a fine of around Rs 1.68 lakh was imposed. Similarly, 176 vehicles were checked by the team of SDM Vyaspur. He said all the SDMs of the district, police department and mining department officials are carrying out checking of vehicles round the clock.
