Citizens Urged to Participate in ‘Viksit Maharashtra 2047’ Survey
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar appeals through a statement in the State Assembly
Mumbai : Following the successful implementation of a 100-day programme, the Government of Maharashtra has launched a new 150-day initiative from May 6 to October 2, 2025. One of the key highlights of this initiative is the creation of a Vision Document for Viksit Maharashtra @2047. To make this vision inclusive and citizen-driven, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has called upon all Members of the Legislative Assembly and Council, Divisional Commissioners, District Collectors, and Chief Executive Officers of Zilla Parishads to actively encourage citizens to participate in the ongoing state-wide survey.

The Viksit Maharashtra 2047 Vision Document is being shaped through short-term goals (Maharashtra @2025), medium-term goals (Maharashtra @75), and long-term goals (Maharashtra @2047). To facilitate this, 16 sector-specific working groups have been formed. The vision is built upon four core pillars: Progressive, Sustainable, Inclusive, and Good Governance, aiming to drive balanced regional development across the state.
To gather public opinion, expectations, and aspirations, a citizen survey is being conducted from June 18 to July 17, 2025. Deputy CM Pawar urged legislators to use their social media platforms, community meetings, and public gatherings to raise awareness and motivate citizens to take part in the survey.
He also requested Divisional Commissioners, District Collectors, CEOs of Zilla Parishads, and heads of public institutions to actively promote participation. The survey is available through a QR code and link on the official Maharashtra Government website.
Deputy CM Pawar emphasized that every citizen should contribute their ideas and aspirations for Viksit Maharashtra 2047 by scanning the QR code on the government website and responding through the WhatsApp chatbot. This inclusive effort will help shape a forward-looking, people-centric vision for Maharashtra’s future.
