2-Dampa (ST) Assembly Constituency Bye-Election Conducted Peacefully

Mamit, Nov 2025: The 2-Dampa (ST) Assembly Constituency bye-election was successfully and peacefully conducted on November 11, 2025 (Tuesday), with a voter turnout of 83.07%.

Within the 2-Dampa (ST) Assembly Constituency, there are 20,888 registered voters — including 10,637 male and 10,231 female voters. Out of these, 8,921 males and 8,430 females cast their votes, making the total number of votes polled 17,351, which amounts to 83.07% voter participation. (Postal ballots are not included in this figure.)

As reported, there were 41 polling stations in the 2-Dampa (ST) Assembly Constituency. After the smooth and successful completion of polling, all the EVMs and VVPATs containing the recorded votes were safely transported to the District Election Office by 4:27 p.m. under tight security and supervision.

The EVMs and VVPATs have been securely stored in a strong room under strict protection, and the counting of votes is scheduled for November 14, 2025.
