₹30.41 Crore Road Project Receives Administrative Approval Due to Efforts of Minister Lakshmi Rajwade

Raipur, March 2026: Significant progress has been made in road infrastructure development in the Bhatgaon constituency, owing to the efforts of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Mrs. Lakshmi Rajwade. The Public Works Department of the state government has granted administrative approval of ₹3041.18 lakh (approximately ₹30.41 crore) for the widening of a road and construction of culverts over a stretch of about 18 kilometers from Birpur (NH-43) to Kevra in Surajpur district.

According to orders issued by the Public Works Department from the Ministry at Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, the project will be executed in accordance with prescribed norms and technical standards. The work will include road widening, construction of culverts, quality control measures, ensuring land availability, completion of the tendering process, and adherence to defined timelines.

Under the guidance of Minister Lakshmi Rajwade, continuous efforts are being made to strengthen basic infrastructure in the Bhatgaon constituency. This road project is expected to significantly improve connectivity between Birpur and Kevra, making transportation smoother and more efficient. It will also enhance access for rural areas to the national highway network.

The improved connectivity is likely to benefit local trade, transport, education, and healthcare services, while also accelerating economic activities in the region.

Minister Rajwade stated that the state government is committed to providing better road infrastructure in rural and remote areas to ensure that the benefits of development reach every individual. She added that continuous work is being undertaken in sectors such as roads, education, healthcare, and social welfare for the overall development of the Bhatgaon constituency, and such initiatives will continue in the future.
