Rajasthan Government Committed to Holistic Development of Animal Husbandry Sector: Vikas Sitaram Bhale
Jaipur, April 2026 : Vikas Sitaram Bhale, Principal Secretary of the Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Cow Rearing and Fisheries Department, said on Monday that the state government is continuously working towards the comprehensive development of the animal husbandry sector.
He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the government has adopted a dedicated approach and progressive policies for the welfare of livestock and livestock farmers. As a result, animal husbandry is increasingly emerging as a significant source of livelihood, providing employment opportunities to lakhs of people across the state in both agriculture and allied sectors.
Bhale made these remarks while flagging off six liquid nitrogen transportation vehicles under the aegis of the Rajasthan Livestock Development Board. The vehicles were formally inaugurated after a ceremonial पूजा and inspection.
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, he said that the vehicles have been provided under the fully centrally funded National Gokul Mission to strengthen and streamline the distribution of liquid nitrogen. Earlier, similar vehicles had already been deployed in 20 districts as per requirement.
He explained that liquid nitrogen plays a crucial role in artificial insemination programmes, which are essential for improving livestock quality and productivity. Ensuring its safe and timely transportation will enable the delivery of high-quality breeding services to rural and remote areas, thereby benefiting farmers.
The newly flagged-off vehicles will serve the districts of Alwar, Khairthal-Tijara, Kotputli-Behror, Salumber, Phalodi, and Jaisalmer, enhancing the reach and efficiency of veterinary services in these regions.
On the occasion, senior officials including Suresh Chand Meena, Director of the Animal Husbandry Department and CEO of the Rajasthan Livestock Development Board, along with Additional Directors and other departmental officers and staff, were present.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the state’s livestock development infrastructure and further support farmers by improving access to advanced breeding and veterinary services.
