Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Conducts Surprise Inspection of Wheat Procurement Centres

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav conducted a surprise inspection of wheat procurement centres on Thursday at Katargaon in Mandleshwar Tehsil of Khargone district and at Makodi in Shajapur district. He reviewed the procurement arrangements and directed the Collector and Mandi Secretary to ensure strict adherence to all wheat procurement guidelines. He emphasised that farmers should not face any inconvenience and said he would continue conducting such surprise visits to monitor arrangements.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav facilitated the issuance of an online receipt through the e-Procurement portal for farmer Shri Suresh Patidar after the procurement of 55 quintals of wheat. He handed over a payment receipt of ₹1,44,374 to the farmer at Katargaon.

Ensure Strict Compliance with Guidelines

After an overnight stay in Maheshwar on Wednesday, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inspected the Katargaon procurement centre in Khargone district and directed officials to install six weighing machines at procurement centres and ensure uninterrupted weighing operations. He directed that the new procurement standards be implemented immediately upon coming into effect. Adequate arrangements for shade and cool drinking water must be ensured for farmers at procurement centres. He reiterated that providing fair prices, dignity, and convenience to farmers is the state government’s top priority. Any issues in the procurement process must be resolved promptly. He instructed that sufficient gunny bags, weighing machines, stitching machines, computers for slot booking, internet connectivity, and operators must always be available at procurement centres. He also inspected arrangements such as drinking water, tents, and seating facilities and directed officials to enhance these amenities.

Interaction with Farmers

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with farmers and livestock rearers, including Shri Bhagirath Malviya, at the Katargaon procurement centre. He held discussions with them and shared tea. He reviewed slot booking arrangements, procurement processes, and OTP-based payment systems. He also took feedback from farmers regarding government arrangements.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reiterated that ensuring respect, convenience and fair prices for every farmer is the government’s highest priority. He also discussed agriculture, animal husbandry, dairy development and inquired about their families. Maheshwar MLA Shri Rajkumar Mev, along with other public representatives and officials, was present on the occasion.

Inspected Produce by Climbing Tractor-Trolley in Makodi

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also conducted a surprise inspection of the Shyama wheat procurement centre in Makodi village, Shajapur district. He reviewed slot booking, procurement arrangements, and OTP-based payments. He interacted with farmers by climbing onto a tractor-trolley and gathered information about their produce from farmers such as Shri Deepak and Shri Rahul. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed farmers that the procurement period has been extended from 9 May 2026 to 23 May 2026, and may be extended further if required. He assured them that every grain of their produce will be procured and that the government stands firmly with farmers.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed facilities such as seating arrangements, drinking water and shade at the procurement site. He also personally observed the weighing of wheat. The Chief Minister obtained details regarding the number of farmers, the quantity procured and transported, and the payments disbursed by the Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society, Makodi.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also interacted with Smt. Sangeeta Bai, a member of a self-help group engaged in printing on gunny bags, inquired about her work. He also asked about the benefits received under the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme and other government schemes.

Higher Education, Technical Education and AYUSH Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar, District Panchayat President Shri Hemraj Singh Sisodiya, MLAs Shri Arun Bhimawad and Dr. Ravi Pandey, Ujjain Divisional Commissioner Shri Ashish Singh, IG Shri Rakesh Kumar Gupta, DIG Shri Navneet Bhasin, Shajapur Collector Sushri Riju Bafna and Superintendent of Police Shri Yashpal Singh Rajput were present.
