Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary Offers Prayers at Vishnupad and Mahabodhi Temples, Seeks Peace and Prosperity for the State

Patna, May 2026: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary visited Gaya and offered prayers at prominent religious sites, seeking happiness, peace, and prosperity for the state.

The Chief Minister first performed rituals at the Vishnupad Temple, where he offered prayers to Lord Vishnu in accordance with traditional customs. After the worship rituals, he visited and inspected the Falgu River ghats. He also reviewed the proposed corridor project of the Vishnupad Temple and held discussions with officials regarding its development.

Later, he visited the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, where he offered prayers to Lord Buddha and wished for the well-being and prosperity of the state. He also performed pooja at the sacred Bodhi Tree. Following the prayers, the Chief Minister inaugurated a publication titled “Pragya Pustak.”

Subsequently, the Chief Minister visited the Bodh Gaya Math complex, where he offered prayers at the main seat complex, including shrines dedicated to Mata Varahi Devi, Mata Annapurna Devi, the seat of Shankaracharya, and other deities located within the Thakurbadi temple premises. He also viewed ancient idols of Lord Buddha preserved at the site.

The temple committee welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him with a ceremonial shawl and memento. During his road journey, large numbers of people gathered at various places to greet him and raised slogans in his support. There was considerable enthusiasm among the public to catch a glimpse of the Chief Minister, who acknowledged their greetings and expressed his gratitude.

On the occasion, several dignitaries were present, including Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Prem Kumar, and other public representatives, along with senior administrative and police officials from the state.
