Road Infrastructure Strengthened Under CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s Leadership; Tender Process Completed for Kansabel-Bagicha Road Upgradation
Raipur, May 2026: Under the directions of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, another significant step has been taken towards strengthening road infrastructure in Jashpur district. The Public Works Department has completed the tender process for the strengthening and upgradation of the Kansabel-Bagicha road along with the construction of bridges and culverts, paving the way for the commencement of construction work soon.
The important 39-kilometre road stretch will be upgraded and strengthened at an estimated cost of approximately Rs 29.08 crore. The project includes road strengthening as well as the construction of necessary bridges and culverts to ensure safer and smoother transportation in the region.
The Kansabel-Bagicha road serves as a major and busy connectivity route in the area, used daily by a large number of villagers, farmers, students and traders. Over time, the condition of the road had deteriorated, causing inconvenience and difficulties for commuters.
With the completion of the proposed construction work, residents of the region are expected to benefit from improved road facilities and a more efficient transport system.
The project is also expected to strengthen connectivity in rural areas, reduce travel time and boost commercial and social activities across the region.
Local residents expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and said that the state government has been consistently expanding infrastructure facilities for the development of remote and rural areas.
