Arjun Ram Meghwal Visits Mamit, Reviews Developmental Progress

Mamit, May 2026 : Union Minister of State for Law & Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, paid an official visit to Mamit district today and held a review meeting with officials of various government departments to assess ongoing developmental activities and the implementation of key government schemes.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of understanding the objectives behind the Central Government’s designation of Mamit as an Aspirational District highlighting that focused and sustained efforts are necessary for the social and economic development of the district and improve the quality of life of its residents. He encouraged all departments to work in close coordination to ensure effective delivery of public services and welfare initiatives and the necessity of increasing public awareness and outreach activities so that government schemes and benefits can effectively reach eligible beneficiaries, particularly in rural and remote areas.

Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal assured the district administration and departmental officials that the Central Government remains committed to extending all possible support in addressing challenges faced during implementation of various schemes and developmental projects.

The review meeting was chaired by Pu Suvigya S. Chandra, Deputy Commissioner of Mamit, who presented an overview of the developmental status of the district and the progress achieved under different government initiatives. He reiterated the need for continued dedication and coordinated efforts from all stakeholders to ensure inclusive growth, infrastructure development, and overall socio-economic advancement of the district. Senior officials from various departments attended the meeting and shared updates on their respective sectors.

Following the meeting, the Union Minister visited the District Court and District Jail in Mamit, where he interacted briefly with judicial staff, jail officials, and employees.
