Raipur, May 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday participated in a public grievance redressal camp organised in the remote village of Lemru in Korba development block under the “Sushasan Tihar” programme.

Addressing villagers during the camp, Chief Minister Sai said the government was formed with the blessings of the people and serving them remained its foremost responsibility. He described Sushasan Tihar as a symbol of the government’s direct outreach and sensitive approach towards citizens.

The Chief Minister said the campaign, which began on May 1, will continue till June 10 and is aimed at ensuring quick resolution of public grievances across the state. He said that just as the head of a family looks after the joys, sorrows, and needs of family members, the government too is reaching villages to review implementation of schemes and directly hear people’s concerns.

He added that he himself has been making surprise visits to villages and interacting with citizens through open chaupals held under trees in rural areas.

Chief Minister Sai said several welfare schemes were being implemented for women, farmers, labourers, forest dwellers, and poor families across the state. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, financial assistance is being provided every month to 70 lakh women. He also stated that approval had been granted for 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, many of which have already been completed.

The Chief Minister further said the procurement rate for tendu leaves had been increased to Rs 5,500 per standard bag and paddy was being purchased from farmers at record prices.

Industry Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the government had fulfilled most of the promises made under “Modi Ki Guarantee” within a short period. He added that the benefits of welfare schemes were reaching villages and providing relief to farmers, poor families, and the needy.

Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary said that despite the intense summer heat, Chief Minister Sai was continuously touring remote parts of the state. Through Sushasan Tihar, he said, the government was ensuring quick grievance redressal and writing a new chapter of development from Surguja to Bastar.

During the camp, Chief Minister Sai announced several development projects for the Lemru region, including construction of anicuts for irrigation, establishment of post-matric hostels, electrification works in gram panchayats, school and anganwadi buildings, CC roads, and culverts.

The Chief Minister also distributed tablets to 18 meritorious students from Korba district who scored above 90 percent in the Class 12 board examinations and wished them success in their future.

At the camp, beneficiaries from various government schemes received ration cards, agricultural equipment, tricycles, hearing aids, fishery materials, pumps, power sprayers, nutrition baskets, and incentive cheques for self-help groups.

Chief Minister Sai also interacted with beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana and reviewed the implementation of the scheme.

Principal Secretary Subodh Singh, Special Secretary Rajat Bansal, public representatives, and senior officials were also present on the occasion.
