Logo Design Competition of Chhattisgarh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board Receives Overwhelming Response
Over 3,000 logo designs submitted by 2,700 participants
Raipur, May 2026 :The logo design competition organized by the Chhattisgarh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board has received an excellent response from across the state as well as the country. By the final submission deadline of May 20, 2026, nearly 2,700 participants had submitted more than 3,000 logo designs via email.
It is noteworthy that the state government has renamed the “Chhattisgarh Housing Board” as the “Chhattisgarh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board.” Following the passage of the bill introduced by Housing and Environment Minister OP Choudhary in the state assembly and its approval by the Governor, the notification was published in the official gazette on April 24, 2026.
Board Chairman Anurag Singh Deo stated that along with the name change, the scope of the board has also been expanded. The board will now not be limited to housing construction alone but will also implement infrastructure development works such as roads, bridges, and other public infrastructure projects. Additionally, opportunities to work on infrastructure projects outside the state are expected to further strengthen the board’s operational capacity and financial position.
In line with this, during the time-bound review meeting held on May 12, 2026, Board Commissioner Avnish Kumar Sharan directed the organization of a logo design competition to reflect the board’s new identity and expanded scope. The competition invited logo designs from the general public, artists, designers, and institutions in accordance with the new name and concept.
Participants were allowed to submit entries via email in CDR, PDF, PNG, and JPEG formats along with their design concepts.
The creator of the best-selected logo will be awarded a prize of ₹2.50 lakh. The evaluation and selection process for the entries will be conducted in three stages. A five-member committee has been constituted for this purpose, which will conduct technical evaluation and recommend the final selection.
After completion of the selection process, the new logo of the board will be officially unveiled, and the designer of the selected logo will be awarded ₹2.50 lakh.
