President Zelensky’s “Ending The Hot Phase Of The War By November” Causes International Stir.

Kyiv; May 2026: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting with members of the Servant of the People Party, have informed the Member of the Ukrainian Parliament about the possible timelines for the end of the “hot phase” of the war against Russia.

Servants Of The People MP – Olha Vasylevska Smahliuk, in her Telegram Post has clarified the narratives of President Zelensky. MP Smahliuk said, the majority of the President’s meeting with the faction was devoted to the prospects of ending the “hot phase” of the war. “The President noted that, by November, there is a possibility, provided that security guarantees are in place, to end the ‘hot phase’. Right now, we have an advantage on the frontline that can be used. The main goal is to prevent Russia from deceiving us and, after a short pause, resuming hostilities and launching a new offensive”.

In addition, Vasylevska-Smahliuk wrote on Telegram that Ukraine is currently waiting for Europe to decide who it will appoint as its representative in peace negotiations. A US delegation is also expected to visit Ukraine in the near future.

“We also discussed the prospects of EU membership at length. The President said that we, as MPs, have fulfilled all requirements to open all negotiation clusters, and they should be opened by summer. As for the issue of associated membership without voting rights and without trade and economic prospects — this type of membership would not give Ukrainians a sense of justice”, she added.

In his evening address yesterday (25th May) Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has stabilised the frontline. According to him, this was achieved thanks to people’s bravery, drones, various technological solutions, middle strikes, and long-range attacks on Russian oil infrastructure.

Recently, Estonia’s intelligence also reported a turning point in Russia’s war against Ukraine, emphasising that time is now working against the aggressor. On the otherside, Russia’s military command has promised President Vladimir Putin to capture the entire Ukrainian Donbas by autumn.

Meanwhile, Zelenskyy’s message was that “everyone needs to push harder”, including in work with international partners. “We assume that the Americans intend to try to ‘quiet things down’ before their elections in the fall”. The US administration understands that the Republican Party may face difficulties in the congressional elections in November this year. Therefore, White House will try to resolve the situation regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The next six months must become a period of maximum focus and stabilization for the country’s functioning. Ukraine has several priority tasks ahead, according to a post by Davyd Arakhamia and a statement by Volodymyr Zelenskyy. “Everyone understands that the next six months must become a period of maximum concentration and stabilisation of the country’s functioning. Our priority is to ensure the resilience of state institutions, support for the army, timely payments to citizens, and the functioning of the energy sector, economy, and local self-government”, he noted.

Arakhamia added that the diplomatic track was also discussed separately. He stated that Ukraine needs “real movement toward peace. Not a freezing of the war, but the creation of conditions to save lives, strengthen international support, and increase pressure on the aggressor state. This requires a strong state position, unity within the country, and responsible work from all branches of government”, he stressed.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that during the meeting with the Prime Minister and lawmakers from the mono-majority faction, the priorities for the near future were discussed. “And I thank everyone in the government, parliament, regional and local authorities, and communities who are truly working for Ukrainians and for their state”, the Ukrainian President said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. According to him, by the end of the week, there could be an update regarding the readiness of the United States for negotiations with Russia. Recently, Presidential Office adviser Mykhailo Podolyak suggested that the active phase of the war in Ukraine could end as early as this autumn if the aggressor country’s summer offensive fails.
