Ensure Eligible Beneficiaries Receive Benefits of Government Schemes during Jan Kalyan Abhiyan: Chief Secretary Shri Jain
Bhopal, June 2026 Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain has directed Collectors to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of various Central and State Government welfare schemes during the State-wide Jan Kalyan Abhiyan commencing on June 5, in line with the priorities of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. He emphasised the effective implementation of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, cleanliness drives, Jan Kalyan camps, natural farming workshops and International Yoga Day activities so that Madhya Pradesh emerges as a national leader in these initiatives.
Chief Secretary Shri Jain was reviewing preparations for the campaign through a video conference from the Secretariat with Divisional Commissioners, Collectors and Chief Executive Officers of District Panchayats on Wednesday.
Chief Secretary Shri Jain said that it is a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh that the countdown to International Yoga Day began from Khajuraho 25 days in advance. He urged all officials to connect people from every section of society with yoga and work towards setting a new record. He directed Collectors to organise at least one major yoga programme at a historical monument or prominent tourist destination in their respective districts. It was informed during the meeting that an individual-category yoga activity for inclusion in the Guinness World Records will be held on June 14. Participants can register through the toll-free number 18003157008. The programme will be conducted from 6:15 a.m. to 7:35 a.m.
Chief Secretary Shri Jain instructed Collectors to coordinate with Ministers-in-Charge and prepare detailed plans for all activities to be conducted from World Environment Day on June 5 to International Yoga Day on June 21. Congratulating officials on Madhya Pradesh securing the top rank in the country under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign last year, he urged them to maintain the State’s leadership through well-planned plantation drives in both urban and rural areas. The meeting was informed that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will launch the campaign from Bhopal on June 5. Water Awareness and Environment Conferences will be organised across the State during the campaign. Plantation activities will be geo-tagged and linked with QR codes. As part of the initiative, cleanliness drives will be undertaken for the removal of solid and plastic waste, along with the cleaning and deepening of water bodies.
Chief Secretary Shri Jain directed Collectors to place maximum focus on organizing three-day Jan Kalyan Camps in every block between June 12 and 18. He stressed the need for seriousness in identifying beneficiaries and ensuring that they receive the benefits of ongoing welfare schemes. The Chief Secretary also instructed officials to satisfactorily resolve complaints received under the Public Service Guarantee Act and applications submitted under the ‘Samadhan Ek Din Mein’ initiative. Chief Secretary Shri Jain emphasised that genuine demands and grievances should be addressed within the stipulated time frame.
Chief Secretary Shri Jain further directed all concerned departments to remain sensitive and proactive to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of government welfare schemes. The Chief Secretary also instructed that exhibitions and workshops promoting natural and organic farming be organized at two locations in every district on June 19 and 20. He emphasized discouraging excessive dependence on chemical fertilizers and encouraging the adoption of natural farming practices to maintain soil fertility and agricultural sustainability.
Chief Secretary Shri Jain further directed officials to ensure that the International Yoga Day celebrations on June 21, the concluding day of the campaign, are organised with broad participation from all sections of society so that Madhya Pradesh emerges as a leading State in the national observance of the event.
