No Youth in State Should be Deprived of Higher Education: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal, June 2026 :Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that education should not remain confined to earning a degree alone but must also be linked to skill development and employment. He stated that this is a priority for the State Government, and through the New Education Policy, education in Madhya Pradesh is being integrated with employment, entrepreneurship, technology and innovation.

Students in the State’s colleges are being offered courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, FinTech, Data Science, Biotechnology, and other emerging fields. Many young people in Madhya Pradesh have emerged as successful start-up entrepreneurs.

Focus on Student-Friendly Education

The State Government is committed to ensuring that no young person in Madhya Pradesh is deprived of higher education and that every student gets the opportunity to progress according to their talent and aspirations. To achieve this objective, the ‘College Chalo Abhiyan’ has been launched across the State from May 31. The primary goal of the campaign is to ensure that no meritorious student is deprived of higher education after Class 12 due to a lack of opportunities. Scholarships, fee assistance, hostel facilities, transportation support and various welfare schemes are being provided to encourage students—especially girls and those from disadvantaged sections—to pursue higher education. The Gaon Ki Beti and Pratibha Kiran schemes, aimed at promoting higher education among girl students and providing financial assistance, have yielded highly positive results. Under both schemes, eligible students receive financial assistance of ₹500 per month for ten months, amounting to ₹5,000 per academic session. The State Government is making every effort to make education completely student-friendly.
