Actor Rohitashv Gour calls on Governor

President of the Akhil Bharatiya Kalakar Sangh and renowned actor Rohitashv Gour along with Vice-President of the Association Rekha Gour called on Governor Kavinder Gupta at Lok Bhavan, today.

During the courtesy meeting, Rohitashv Gour briefed the Governor about the activities of the Akhil Bharatiya Kalakar Sangh and informed him about the commencement of the 71st Annual All India Drama and Dance Competition, being organized in Shimla from today till June 10.

The actor informed the Governor that the prestigious cultural event would witness participation from thousands of artists across the country. A total of 27 theatre groups would present dramatic performances, while around 260 dance presentations would be showcased during the competition, reflecting the rich diversity of India’s artistic and cultural traditions.

The Governor lauded the efforts of the Akhil Bharatiya Kalakar Sangh in promoting theatre, dance and cultural heritage through such longstanding national-level events. He said that art and culture play a vital role in preserving the nation’s rich traditions, strengthening social harmony and inspiring creativity among the younger generation.

Kavinder Gupta said that platforms such as the All India Drama and Dance Competition provide emerging artists with valuable opportunities to showcase their talent while fostering cultural exchange and national integration. He expressed confidence that the event would contribute significantly to promoting performing arts and strengthening the cultural fabric of the country.
